Katara doesn't get the way those cor...po... ra-something people think. There's space for everyone in the Sea-below. But Jet tells her that tribe is bad to the bone, and she believes him. He saved her from their not-dragons, and he didn't have to. And while he has watched her like he really wants to, he hasn't tried to take her as a wife, either. (then again if he did she would drown him. Charming and strong he might be, and were he mer... she thinks to herself with a shiver that perhaps she might allow herself to be caught, but the real world doesn't deal if what-ifs and she's not having any two-tails children. They die too often.)
She has to admit, as bad as those of the corpo-pod are, they're not half as weird as Jet himself. She can't believe he just went and kidnapped another male.
Propped up on the edge of the raft, she watches them argue themselves hoarse. They're totally ignoring her. And she doesn't know much of their language but this is something like the fifth time she hears the same arguments flying by. So she narrows her eyes, and she snaps, "Hey."
Neither of them even reacts. The one with the red color-patch on his face yells something with the words "want" and "help you" in it -- she's gotten really good at picking those words up especially.
She narrows her eyes some more. "Hey."
Jet retorts something that must be full of profanities, hand cutting the air sharp and hard. He's still completely locked up, and she's a little glad for it because she doesn't want to deal with his rage. Then again right now she's very tempted to let him deal with hers.
Female in a male-pod or not, neither of them is her husband. If they're going to squabble like children, by the Mother she will treat them that way.
So they're in the middle of another tirade when Katara upends the raft on them.
Zuko is the only one too tied up to swim, but that doesn't stop her from grabbing Jet as well. She pulls them back to the surface by the hair, and she glares darkly. "You stop. Now."
When they start yelling at her instead, she finds it an improvement, but it doesn't stop her from dunking them a second time.
