XD I don't know for the english translations but in french there was a joke where Gara was happy he'd been healed of a stomach wound because innards aren't like arms, they don't grow back! and Arshes beside him muttering "arms don't grow back either." I liked the way it poked at the fourth wall and acknowledged the ridiculousness of both Gara's statement and the fact that the manga itself played fast and loose with those things. Also there was something about how Gara could only come back to life once so he should be careful! yyyeah, just once, huh. XD

The name angel densetsu is familiar ... *wikis* Ahh, yeah, I saw that manga around, but I never read it. Anyway, I tried to get into Claymore but it was so bleak and I didn't like the art so I skipped it. ... Now I'm kind of tempted to ask you which chapter that was to check myself, though. Bad curiosity! Bad! DX
