-I have no idea why everyone overhyped this fight as supermanly and roarrtastic. I mean sure they're both big buff guys and woohoo shirtless, but apart from that nothing superepic and amazing in its manliness has happened yet. One of them cuts off a limb in order to score a critical hit and then we'll talk. (... not Hachibi. seeing how tentacles grow back, that's cheating. XD)

-it's a good thing killerbee worrying so much for ponta and the old guy made me like him a bit more, cause i have to admit I'm still kinda pissed at him being okay with letting his big brother think he was dead. Raikage was grieving for him and he couldn't be assed to even spare a "sorry brother" in his own thoughts, nevermind actually sending a message -- I mean Raikage is kind of a dickhead too but that was just plain assholeish. >:/ But, he really cared about the raccoon and the old guy, so. That makes things better re: how much I like/care about him.

-pffhahaha Samehada is fickle. ♥ It was a funny moment. I don't really care either way about what it looks like, I never cared about Kisame much outside of him as Itachi's partner, it always cracked me up how a huge guy would call him -san and be so polite. Otherwise I never gave him much thought, and I admit I am vastly indifferent to the whole seven swordsmen of the mist plot thread, so Samehada turning out semi-sentient is... eh. I can take it or leave it. it doesn't bother me but it doesn't wow me either. It's kinda goofy but then again, Kishimoto does that sometimes. I mean seriously grandmother cat? That was pretty "whu? um...why not" as well. XD

I think "yawn" summarizes my current thoughts on Naruto.

Is it just me who noticed the abundance of history in recent arcs?

When the show started, flashbacks were neat, about as common as other animes. But now it's like the producers have decided that despite our protests to the contrary, the past is such a good thing that it needs more airtime and now the show is 95% flashbacks, and when we're not looking to the past, the present moves along so slow that it's as if time itself has stopped and is at an impasse of whether to continue forward or move backward some more, which is completely understandable since poor Father Time has been raped over and over again by these chain-strung, seizure-inducing never-ending flashback cycles.

We get it! Stuff happened! NEXT!

This is why Bleach is starting to look shiny despite being god awful, senseless violence with next to no plot or sanity. *big sigh*

Ahahaha... yes, agreed. I'm newly into Naruto, but even though I read through the whole thing in the past couple weeks, the plot seems to move ahead so slowly that I can't remember the last time I saw, for example, Sasuke on his silly vengeance trip..

I gotta say -- my favorite part was when Samehada seemed to fall in love with Killerbee. That was the impression I got, anyway.

Pffft, this entire fight reminded me of a Pokemon battle. XD "Killer Bee used Smoke Bomb!" "...but it has no effect!!" I was seriously thinking out strategies in my head--it made the chapter that much more entertaining. Fff. XD;

And you're wrong! There was some serious sentimental stuff going on here. While Bee was slowly falling for Kisame and getting his heart torn in half by his love for Samehada, Samehada was slowly falling for Bee all along...!

But in all seriousness, maybe Bee did think about his brother but Kishimoto decided it just wasn't as important as Naruto's many panels of snowy cuteness... which I have no qualms with. >____> And being his brother, Raikage should have had more faith in his abilities. Geh.

I concur- I don't care much one way or the other for Kisame or Killerbee...but...when the sword started snuggling up to Bee = <3 The sword even kinda looks face-ish on the handle! ^_^ Hee hee. Maybe that's the real story of how Kisame got the sword in the first place? Someone beat the crap outa him with it until it decided it liked him better?

Granny Cat was awesome :o Seriously, one of the scantranslations had her calling Sasuke and Itachi kittens <3 The mental imagery...

If the manga's not doing anything for you, the anime has finally reached the Sasuke vs Itachi fight; episodes 135 and 136. Animation, especially in 135, is awesome.

I'm watching the anime too, and yeah it's pretty, but i also know what happens, so... it's more like eyecandy than a real fix. ;_;

I didn't like how Killer Bee acted at first too, until i started thinking about the Hyuuga incident. Seeing Hizashi's corpse, maybe he found himself thinking 'That Could of been Me!'. And his brother's additude about the whole thing- It would have pissed me off.
