As far as Civilians I was referring to the females who had chosen the mother path. Which I think would make them very ill tempered civilians and probably pretty capable of kicking some ass if they feel their cubs are in danger. (Pack Oriented societies lend me to the thought that killing children, at least of their race ((Especially viable female offspring!), was seriously frowned upon. Which I'm not sure in the culture if that would have any effect on abuse rates or not...Which is a confusing moral and psychological issue)) And then I suppose low grade fighters who aren't even worth the trouble it takes to send them off world are assigned to menial tasks, such as growing food and tending to the less pleasant tasks that the High Class Warriors would not think of doing. The other option of course being that the Sayajins had a large population of slaves that kept things running ((Info Specialists? Do we have computer tech Sayajins?))

I'm not sure how much cross breading would even be possible within other species. And a lot of my head canon has resulted from Fanfic, but it seems that Goku found like the only one that even made it possible for them to breed. As Vegeta hadn't spit out a few weird looking offspring before Earth. The meeting with the outsiders is going to be very interesting.
