I need to fix Zack and especially Aeris -- in my mind, they fall back on flirty/joking/light when they feel an issue is hard and complicated, because talking about it straight up is hard or depressing, and it might be easier to deal with it like that. Problem is that Cloud and Tifa often feel they just don't take it as seriously as it deserves... But it doesn't come across well enough here. ~___~
Zack goes with "yes, he killed me" because everything that happened afterwards (being captured and experimented on, being a fugitive, getting gunned down) was a result of Seph's actions, and while he does think there's a difference, he didn't want to bring up that seph hadn't actually done the deed because the obvious counter is "but you know if he could have, he WOULD have, so where's the difference". What he's saying is that yes, he knows that it's the exact same thing as if Seph had killed him with his own two hands, but he still forgives him.
... but you're right that it doesn't come across as it should. Hnnn. I'll fix it. ♥
Thank you for the help, dearest ^^ And don't worry, so far this universe isn't letting go. I just need a good beta to help with characterization... nrgh Aeris. ~_______~;;
