I don't know. I pretty much made sense to me. Though there was definately the feeling that there were bits that were going to get explained later, I got enough of what was going on in the now to make sense of this scene and enjoy it for its place in the story, if that makes sense? Also, I really like what you were doing with the color imagery in the beginning.
