(naruto anime) episode 172

... way to mess up a good filler arc, people. =_=

1) the animation isn't so good, choppy and all and the art -- meh. the faces look weird. too fat.

2) the fights are downright sucky. Choreography what? let's throw ourselves in the same direction with the same obvious and clumsy move all the time.

3) The ep felt like it was a hour long, not 20 minutes. Nothing much happened and it feels like everything they did took three years. =_=;

4) remember how happy I was that they all acted like ninja? Well, at first I was all "YAY, they're still getting it right!" with Ino deciding which way to go based on "hey, this direction smells like salt! the sea is this way!". Then Anko -- ANKO -- has the main bad guy throw a glass bottle at her face and she BREAKS IT by slapping it aside with a kunai, instead of catching it. result = whee sleeping gas. DOESN'T SHE KNOW BETTER.

And then, when Isaribi (the girl who was experimented on) starts angsting and doubting herself, Anko (ANKO) starts telling her all about how Naruto had Kyuubi sealed inside him and he was called a monster too -- WHAT THE FUCK. Since when is this information not classified?!

5) Naruto visits Kyuubi for more chakra -- they lazily reused scenes from the time Naruto went to Kyuubi's cage and asked for chakra as rent, cutting out all talking between naruto and kyuubi.

*sigh* also, there's the fact that Naruto is going Kyuubi for ISARIBI. A girl he barely knows -- and he's already getting that furious over her treatment. Okay he's seeing himself in her what with her being called a monster and he's noble and wants to protect people and doesn't like seeing them abused all that, but still, it bugs me. u.u

Bleh. At least I still like the end song and its art. I wish I could rip just that part so I could upload it and share with people who don't watch the anime, because eeeee Sakura ;_;

;_; And Anko starts yapping her mouth off less than 10 metres away from Ino and Shino (whose name's rhyme O_o), so that means they should have HEARD about Naruto. *sobs* This is was so messed up!

I don't have much else to complain about because you stated most of the things I want 'owie' over already but... STILL! IT WAS LOOKING UP! I had almost began to believe it would be decent-filler, not filler-filler. *sigh*

NOOOOOOES. TT.TT But it was looking so good! Sure, 170 was a little choppy, but 169 and 171 were so good! My friend I had a "hey, it's Sasuke and there's no ass-bow!" moment, which was fun, PLUS, I figured out the entire plot with the hidden lab and junk about halfway through 170. *L*

I don't want it to turn sucky, though! Need good Naruto, it's been so long since I've sat down and watched some (excluding re-watching my Hong Kong subs of 1-76 for the 50th time).

Especially since, on a whim, we went back and watched 165 (having skipped that arch because it hurt). At first, we were like, "Yay, Kakashi!"... but they made him suck, too. -.- I spent the whole special heckling it while my friend banged her head against the desk going, "I want my Obito-kun! Obito will save the day!"

That was me, by the way. ^.^;;;

c'est un peu injuste de comparer DBZ et Naruto. Ce sont tous les deux des shonen, ils ont tous les deux les même thèmes de shonen. A savoir, entre autres, on devient vraiment fort pour protéger les autres. Tous les shonen ont ce message, c'est pas limité à eux deux. XP

yeah, the plot was a little see-through, but still not as simplistic as the previous ones. That was good T_T

I watched that arc ... uh. kind of like glanced at a snippet, grimaced, sped up to the next scene. =_=;;

Je sais. XD Mais ce qui me fait le plus marrer c'est quand je comparre les couleurs : Sangoku en saiyen a les cheveux blonds en l'air dans tous les sens, est habillé d'un costume orange et bleu. Ca nous rappelle personne. Vegeta a les cheveux noirs, porte du bleu marine et du blanc, et tire la gueule. Ca nous rappelle personne non plus. :ppp

Mais evidemment, tout le monde a sa source d'inspiration et Naruto se demarque largement de DBZ par son scenar.

Oh, for--Anko, I understand you're probably a bit out of sorts what with the curse seal going all *bzzt* and not getting to kill Orochimaru again, but wtf woman, no. Bad ninja.

Though, I guess if Naruto's started using the kyuubi for everyone he comes across, that would explain why he's lost so much control of it in two and a half years when he was doing fine before for, what, thirteen?

awww...and here I had all these fantastic delusions of Naruto only going kyuubi for pple he seriously cared about (and you know...pple whose bones he and kyuubi would both like to jump). Like Gaara and Sasuke. LOL. Thanks for shattering them, anime!

Um. Bad jokes aside, I sincerely wish the anime would just STOP with the fillers. I, for one, would not mind NO NARUTO ANIME at all until they pick up on the manga again. B/c they're KILLING the characters!! They're killing the CHARACTER of the characters, you know what I mean? Sure, sometimes they hit the right note, but most of the time, it's all over the place and I just want to cry at the horror.

but I don't. haha. Aaaanyway....

Well, I think blue and white for the brooding rival goes right back to Chinese opera, so it's hardly original. And blond/yellow hair was seen as something supernatural beings had in Japanese legend.

...the orange is pretty unique, though, even if bringing its brightness out by contrasting it with blue is basic color sense. I can't think of many series that dress the hero in bright orange.

Why can't they show reruns if they want to fill in the time slot? American stations do that all the time, and it's an excellent way to see some episodes you may have otherwise missed.

The previous episodes were good-- abit dodgy at the fact that Kabuto's ex-teammates were alive, because if I remember correctly Kankurou broke one's neck, but good.

then they show us this one ... They copy and pasted parts of other episodes near the end and what the fuck were Ino and Shino doing during all of that? And they took back the "Everyone can do Kuchiyose no jutsu LOL" thing they got in the Hinata filler. I don't understand it -- I mean, they're not the creator, sure, but they work with the characters on a basis by redoing the manga. They should atleast know the BASICS.

Then again, that's putting faith in 'em. *sighs*

*stares* are you trying to pretend that they meant to do that kyuubi thing? totally coincidental, promise. XD ahh, fanficcers, always trying to *snrk* fill the holes.

It's a bad habit left over from Smallville. *grin* Never overlook a chance for justifying nonesense on the part of the writers to keep liking the show.

Yes, this episode was -horrible-. Well not horrible, but worse than the rest of the arc >_> But (according to hearsay, so don't trust this) it gets better. Something to do with the team being in a crunch time of sorts. Maybe one of the animators got sick (that would explain the reuse of animation)? *hopes devoutly*

This is true, but for those who've seen those episodes, oh, about ten times by now while waiting for the animators to catch up, this gets DAMN tedious. =_= trust me. you'd shoot yourself in the face if you'd seen the same damn episode on the late night stuff as i have.

It wasn't the worst, but it was still horrible because I was honestly ready to enjoy it, contrary to most of the rest which I awaited with a cringe. =_=;

Ahah, but see, most people wouldn't watch the reruns. They'd stop watching, and some of them wouldn't start again when the new stuff starts, maybe on account of not even knowing there's new stuff, or maybe on account of losing interest or just the habit of plopping down in front of the TV at this time. It's marketing, that's all.

I think I agree with you that this ep was missing something.

At least we got to see Anko do her summons that was cool. I think she was seriously messed up by the memory business and the pain of her curse seal and could not help but miss the chloroform bottle but it does give her some credit to her recovery time.

I think her mess up here is believeable as it shows how out of it she is.

Also she probably was not around to be under the influence of the kyuubi ban like the others cause she was with Orochimaru and only returned to Konoha 10 years ago, when Naruto was 2(I am trying to justify this big screw up to myself).

Anko also seems to be the type who does not quite follow instructions.(yeah that must be it)

I didn't like the emergence of kyuubi either, it kinda cheapens the effect.

The next ep looks okay though, I like Gama-sama
