O_o; wtf... Quatre is a Berber, but I don't think I've ever seen someone make an issue over it in a review unless the author had tried to call him like, Anglo-Saxon or something-- or the reviewer was just attempting to sound intelligent.

Also, I though the Berbers were a more northern band? Part of the reason for their coloring was because (I think) they took more English women as wives and whatnot.

From what I know about the people's coloring from that area... a lot of them are more Caucasian than most people in Europe; that and the Berber thing prolly explain his white skin... XDDD umm dyes wot. wot? wtf is she smoking D:

I can't remember offhand if it was officially stated, but some of my friends used to work on the series, and they confirmed it-- one of them did the English translations on the manga (Yuki Ichimura), and the others were... character models, for a lack of a better term.

If it's not officially stated in the series or the books, then it's only third of fourth level "canon"; it's more a neat factoid that you can safely ignore than a part of the canon.

I agree that it makes sense to make him a berber, but it's certainly not an obligation. besides wtf i don't even remember what i said about that in the fic. =_=

The Berbers _were_ a North-African tribe... although like most tribes in Africa they were nomadic so I guess maybe that could account for he/she not knowing exactly where they were from. Yeah. I feel stupid now. I thought she was talking about Q as in one of the Doctors who made the Gundams, not Quatre.... though I'm not sure there was a "Doctor Q". Perhaps I'm thinking of "Doctor O". I always thought it was funny that they gave Quatre (and others) french numbers as names, because as far as I can tell, none of them are of European descent, except for the American and possibly the British-Japanese type folks (Une, Relena, Treize, Milliardo/Zechs)...

In any case, chicky-boy is a little slow on uptake with photosynthesis and pigmentation and so on and so forth. Or knows so little of the English language it is the "right" answer just using wrong and nonsensical words...
But yes, this is part of the reason why none of my writing is made available to the internet except in small drabbles. :P Better you than me, I'd say.
