30 drabbles is fairly standard, really. and if I don't finish them all I can always forfeit, I guess, but this is a challenge!! *determined*
no deadline though, thank god. i don't work well with deadlines.
About the writing lots and not showing anything... I do that all the time, so this is nothing new. XD I won't show a story until it's past a point where I can see the plot and the ending. Most one-shots I post I didn't write in one go. I started them moths ago, forgot them, poked a bit more, forgot about them, started again... then hopefully at the end you get a completed fic. At the moment I have approx. 25 in-progress Naruto stories. I'm counting the 30 drabbles as one, and I'm not counting the unrelated drabbles I still owe people that I haven't started yet.
The only multipart I've posted anywhere else than my LJ is Teamwork, because it's devouring my life and i'll be surprised if I don't finish it. Everything else is under lock and key -- I only show it here when I need a little moral boost and some concrit, because i can't say for sure that these stories even have an END.
Or sometimes they just die on me. -__-;;
I've learned my lesson from the GW fandom. Every time I had more than two chapters of a story, I started posting -- and then lost interest for months on end to write something else. And now i've pretty much left the fandom and abandoned over a dozen multiparts, forever unfinished -- and i'm not counting the ones I never posted anywhere. Overall I think I have around 50 unfinished GW stories at various stages of completion. *sigh*
