yay for stupid reviews. U_U;;;

The following review has been submitted to: Eveil Chapter: 1

From: (someone stupid)

That is really cool! You are a French speaking person, but you also know
English. How long have you had English? I'm learning Spanish. I had to
take both Spanish and French in Middle School, but I knew more Spanish
and therefore decided to take Spanish. I do like French, though. I don't
know much French, but I used to live in a city that had a french name.
Could you tell me what it means? It's Des Moines. A friend of mine told
me once, but I forgot. I'd really like to talk to you again sometime. My
email isn't on my profile, but I could give it to you is you want me to.

Uh. Okay?

1)my god, i know two languages, how amazing. Like, oh, millions -- if not more -- of people in the world?

2)yes, I do care about your life, even though we never met, and even though this is supposed to be a review for my story. I DO post my email on my profile, if you want to chat, USE IT.

3)Yes, I AM going to be your personal dictionary, even though I don't know you and there is that neat thing called babelfish. (or even OMG, actual dictionaries, in, like, LIBRARIES.)

4)YOU DIDN'T LEAVE AN EMAIL FOR ME TO ANSWER TO. Does the "reply to me and i'll give you my email" thing seem a little weird to you? No need to worry about logic! After all, I'm french, therefore i'm magical.

God. No, actually, I don't want to talk to you. I don't like people who want to know me just because i'm french (i'm a person, not a nationality, not a dictionary), and I don't like people who assume I'm going to be their bestest friend when I've never met them in my life, and most of all, I don't like people who have fluff for brain. You qualify for all three. I hope you never review one of my stories again, unless you OMG decide to leave an ACTUAL REVIEW.

Rargh.

no, i'm not pissed off just because i was disappointed it wasn't a real review. [/review whore]

...so, what does Des Moines mean?

::runs away to Iowa before you can catch heeer::

thank god no one knows that I'm fluent in 1.75 languages :3

Grrr....

Yuck...just yuck...poor you! *petcuddles*

My response:
Firstly, when offering reviews, people need to offer constructive advice--advice that WILL HELP IMPROVE THE WORK! Rargh! Secondly, when making friends, people should try to get to know you for who you are as a person! Does being one nationality or another really have that much of an impact on your personality? And if it does, wouldn't that be OBVIOUS in your work? Finally, there is a time and place for socializing--a review or workshop is neither the time nor the place.

*offers to let you use the Whip of Icy Vengeance on them*

A friend of mine got such a retarded comment on her DJ once - along the lines of "if you're writing in German, how can you understand the rest of the site?". Can we say BWAH?!

Deppenpack =_=

Don't you love icky reviews that weren't actually reviews.

Dude, on my Kouga fanfic, I got a person asking me to write a fanfic with Kouga and their made up character that looked exactly like Kouga, only with boobs XD. They also gave me "permission" to draw their character as well.

I was OMGWTFBBQ. Write your own damn fanfiction, punk.

C'est lavi!

I think that'd only work if they stopped failing their "knowledge: smart" checks (Dungeons and Dragons maniac? me? nooooo...).
Of course, if could have been worse. They could have gone and asked something like: "How difficult is French to learn? I'm not that smart, but it looks pretty easy. What about Japanese? It's made up of so many pretty symbols...! *fangirl fangirl fangirl*" and then they'd deserve to be smacked with Temari's fan.

Personally, I'm really impressed with your mastery of English, as I'm assuming it's your second language. Myself, I have no real talent for learning other languages (my years of Latin, Hebrew, and French were failures, and Japanese, while better, still isn't great). Keep up the wonderful work!

I'm sort of the same way with Japanese. You can't translate manga for an entire year without figuring out a good deal about the language. I'm also of the opinion that a full-immersion course is the best way to learn a language because, not only do you learn more than you would in a classroom, you also learn the history and culture that are involved.

In case you missed it in a comment on an earlier post... Kitsune!

Gift art for a wonderful author. I'd fangirl over Teamwork I and II, but then I'd have to smack myself. Oh well, going to do it anyway. *fangirl!* Alright, done.
