I really like this, the way Naruto's coming to reluctantly accept things. He's still not happy about Kyuubi, or about the complications with Sakura and Sasuke, but he's getting there, maybe, and he's actually thinking about things.

It's interesting to see the difference between this and "Teamwork," since here Naruto hasn't yet caught on to the idea that Sasuke is a 'potential mate' as well as a rival.

This sentence -- He feels guilty to let them both believe that this is all due to Sasuke's mistake, when he knows that it's as much due to that as it's due to the way he corrected that mistake -- reads a little oddly to me. It might be better as He feels guilty for letting them both believe that this is all due to Sasuke's mistake, when he knows that it's as much due to the way he corrected that mistake. Otherwise it seems like he's saying it really was more Sasuke's fault than his own.

I think the bittersweet, melancholy feel of the fic is what I like best.
