but anyway.
-i hate macs. and laptops. but both together = DDDDD: not sure i got to notice every detail of the chapter, it was incredibly annoying to navigate. woe.
-i'm torn between:
--- *squee, ninjakitties!!* and "where, exactly, were that grandma and her granddaughter who apparently knew the uchihas SOOO well and that sasuke is SOOO comfortable with during the rest of the freaking manga???" i mean okay it was interesting, but it was also so damn random, for a moment i even wondered if this was a fake chapter. Also kitty ears headband WTF D: so THIS is what happens to cosplaying nekogirlsif when they grow up... o.o
--- "whee sexycloaks" and "oh look, sasuke is copying his big brother's cloaks now, wonder if he'll add stylised little snakes on it later" maybe the apparent lack of sleeves is his attempt to look original. i like the collars, though. :3
--- "aww sasuke is good at getting prepared now" and laughing my ass off. i mean -- he just took his new team shopping.
Also wtf he looks more sincere kneeling for the old cat lady than he ever did humbling himself in front of -- wait, when does he ever humble himself? >_> huh.
as for the konoha babble at the start of the chapter, *yawn*. they've been stalling on the konoha front for so long just so that team hebi and akatsuki could be brought up to speed too, nngh. i want less "blahblah let usrecap analyze for everyone who didn't grasp the subtleties of OUR GREAT MASTER PLAN and more "hay, we're FEELING THINGS" especially on the team 7 front. Naruto and Sakura didn't react so much, and as for kakashi, he feels kinda empty. it's like his feelings on the matter silmply don't exist because he's an adult and therefore not really supposed to be concerned (not sure i'm explaining that properly >>;; )
but yay for team eight. finally! ^o^

About Sasuke kneeling... I thought he was paying respects but then the next image showed what he was doing. He wasn't kneeling to the old lady, he was checking the merchandise.. XD

Team Seven just has me headdesking at this point. That's a setting just waiting for trouble... either plot-point trouble, or trouble in the sense of "Kishimoto, you did not just do that!"
Seems odd, though. Sasuke is more... um, is affectionate the word I want here? We had him smiling almost fondly at Suigetsu earlier, making an oath to Juugo, and then smiling at the nin-neko and saying, "It's been a while." Plus, courteously saying, "I'm in your debt" to Granny and looking strangely sad at her question about him going after Itachi. Of course, the rest of the time he looks like a mannequin, but...
Oh, and I like Juugo. "We don't have any shirts that will fit!" "Oh, just use the curtain." "All right. *drape*" :-P

On p18 ch279 v31, there's a really big cat-looking thing next to a Suna nin at the bottem of the picture of all the nin gathered to see Gaara not be dead.
...The only reason I know the specific page is because I'm using it for an rpg, but it seemed more like the dogs that Kiba's clan uses; having them talk makes me think more of the dogs that Kakashi summons..or some type of demon?

shopping!XDThe granny reminds me of Gaara's Baa-chan. Except weirder. And Sasuke should learn to summon cats now. Because it's cool. But what use would ninja-police have for cats? especially in all their tempermental BSness?
And the 'let's capture Itachi so we can lure Sasuke in'? ah, no. A bunch of teenagers, two adults, against a S-class criminal. Does that seem realitic to you? and Itachi, if at all possible, should be killed on the spot, as is ANBU protocal, and fed to crows. And if the ANBU don't even bother with him anymore, what's a bunch of chuunin going to do about it?
And I thought Takuni were raccoon-dogs, not fox-cats.

Although I have to agree it was like a bad trip down fanfiction lane when the ninja kitties popped up.
