Okay, this review is pretty nice, actually. It's just, there's a line in it, and it's perfectly fine in itself, but the formulation gave me MENTAL PICTURES.

This is the relevant bit: i'm hoping to see the reaction of itachi and the rest of the Akatsuki when he finds about his brother unconventional relationships, that would be a shocker indeed that i'm sure would break the uchiha's stoic mask :)

And this is is my brain's immediate reaction:

Sasuke: ITACHI! >:O
Itachi: Foolish little brother, you are still pitifully weak even at this age -- what? you shacked up with two people? D: OMG YOU HAVE TO TELL ME EVERYTHING.

Itachi: You know, I don't think dad would have approved. ./_\.
Sasuke: BUT WE WILL NEVER KNOW. YOU KNOW, SINCE YOU KILLED HIM.
Itachi: *sigh* You always pull that card to change the conversation.

Itachi: I hope you're taking care to eat enough vitamin D. It's not healthy for my little nephew-to-be.
Sakura: ... yeah, I'll... I'll get right to that.

Itachi: Tell me, at least, are you happy? ;/__\;
Sasuke: Less by the minute. DX

XDDD I like your latest review better than my latest review.

My latest review was a thinly disguised entitlement whore going on about "*eyeroll* you know if you were QUALIFIED to be a professional writer you'd be professional enough to FINISH NO MATTER WHAT" and my immediate reaction was "*pffft* hahahaha." Because even aside from the fact that I've made a perfectly good living as a professional writer for going on 15 years now, the biggest difference to me between profic and fanfic is that when people give you bullshit over fanfic you CAN just walk away because nobody is writing you a paycheck to take their shit. And yes I'm bitter. XDDD

(I can totally see your little five-point chibis having this family conversation as a 4-koma, by the way. :) )

*huggins on* It's archived on my LJ too, from when someone reported all my stuff to FF.net to try to get me taken down because I quoted song lyrics with references in the karaoke chapter (OMG the horror). At this point I don't know whether it's more satisfying to take it down and say 'screw you entire world' or to watch the impotent morons rail and rave and froth at the mouth and know that I don't *have* to do a single damn thing they say. (Of course, the mood depends on whether I was laughing or frothing at the latest review myself...)

Oh god. Itachi and the baby....
Wow, would he try to approach his brother? Try to be a part of their lives now? I'm gonna go with no, he burned that bridge the day he left (and chopped the support rails with the mindrape in the hotel), but he would probably watch from a distance. He'd definitely support Sasuke's relationship with his teammates. More friends = more protection, after all.
(Can you tell that I actually believe that ass-pull reveal Madara gave?)
Though, if I remember correctly, by the time Sasuke was 16, Itachi was on his last leg because of tuberculosis or whatever... would he still be a shinobi at this point? Or would he have come after Sasuke and provoked him by now out of desperation?

On a separate note, these scenes should totally be omakes ^_^

XD; You also have to remember that when I came up with the idea for Teamwork, the Valley of the End wasn't even over yet. And when I came up with the ideas for Itachi, well, we were still pretty far away from "I was good all along really!" explanations. I've always had an unreasonable fondness for "secretly does love his little brother" but that doesn't mean my Itachi isn't an asshole with very strange motives. XD

Granted I actually didn't come up with much of Itachi's POV so who knows, he might be more canon than not. but I don't have a madara in my fic, so... Ahh. So complicated to keep everything straight when you're writing for an evolving canon. XD;

^^; Good point, and great job adapting it so far! I feel your pain as far as the evolving canon goes. ~~Dammit, Itachi-centric project that depends on Madara's abilities for a subplot~~.
Glad Madara's not in the story (he fucks up everything, the bastard), probably best not to introduce him at this point. (Does that mean some of your Akatsuki are going to be OCs?)
